Spanish Consumer Electronics Store Chain PC City Chooses Workforce Management by InVision
PC City, Spain’s leading specialist PC retailer, has selected the software solution InVision Enterprise WFM for demand-oriented scheduling of its 1,300 employees. The system, from InVision Software, a leading international provider of enterprise-wide workforce management (WFM) solutions, will be implemented at all 32 Spanish PC City stores as well as at the central service call centre by the end of 2009. The retailer aims to achieve efficient staff scheduling by matching staffing with actual customer traffic and its fluctuations.
“By adjusting staffing levels to match customer footfall in our stores, we aim to guarantee our customers consistent and reliable service while at the same time providing our employees with more flexible hours”, says Rafael Vara, Director of Human Resources of PC City. “Our main objective for this WFM project is that PC City will become the best place to buy technology in Spain with the help of InVision. The major factors that convinced us that we made the right decision by choosing InVision Enterprise WFM were the detailed presentation of the system along with the demonstration of the comprehensive functionality and the powerful performance of the software. We have selected the optimal solution for meeting our service goals while at the same time reduced the time and effort needed for scheduling.”
InVision Enterprise WFM replaces the company’s previous Excel-based method and will support the entire process of workforce management. The solution ensures that store staff are present to exactly match the pattern of trade. Thus, expensive overtime is reduced, idle time is minimised and sales can be increased.
