Staffing scheduling in contact centers is a complex challenge due to the volatility of call volumes, different qualifications and employment contracts of the agents as well as various other influencing factors. For our algorithm, we are currently successfully using different heuristics from discrete optimization but are open to completely new approaches. Due to the microservice architecture of our cloud product we are free to choose tools and technologies.
