In our talk, we’ll deep-dive into the Serverless world and show you how to build a ready to run Serverless application by means of AWS-Cloud with a technology-stack API Gateway, SNS, Lambda and DynamoDB.

We will look into the individual challenges of each service, such as “cold start” with Lambda or “provisioned throughput” with DynamoDB. We will show you which strategies and options exist.

In addition, we will also address topics like Tracing of Lambda-Functions and implementation of aggregation logic, (Scheduled) Auto Scaling and the options of Capacity Modes (reserved, provisioned and on-demand) on DynamoDB.

Finally, we’ll have a look at the first relational serverless data base “Aurora Serverless” and the new data API.
